Honey Shine, Inc outshines again. On Saturday, May 13, 2017 Honey Shine, Inc held its 15th Annual “Hats off Luncheon,” silent auction and fashion show at the exquisite Loews Beach Hotel on Collins Avenue in the heart of South Beach, Miami.
Attendees, mostly women dignitaries, community activist and socialites supported the cause in breathtaking hats, dripping in gorgeous gowns, complemented with clutch handbags and striking shoes.
The 2017 theme, “Time to Shine” celebrated and showcased the talent of young girls called “Honey Bugs,” whom are enrolled in the Honey Shine mentoring program located at the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, by putting on a full fledged festive fashion show.
Honey Shine Inc.’s founder Tracy Wilson Mourning, broadcast journalist, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and wife of Miami Heat Legend Alonzo Mourning, founded Honey Shine, Inc mentoring program in 2002 after soul searching – recognizing that her calling is to make a difference in the lives of young girls by empowering them to become future leaders.
In Tracy’s own words, “the mission of Honey Shine Inc is to encourage the balancing of mind, body, and soul in girls and women”. It is without doubt, next year’s luncheon will host the crème de la crème of Miami’s Philanthropic community .
Honey Shine, Inc is also celebrating Camp Honey Shine, which has grown from a local presence in South Florida to a National Organization and Brand that includes mentoring programs in elementary and high schools in Los Angeles, CA, and Dallas, TX.
